bad-milo-retro

Bad Milo! stars Ken Marino(Wanderlust, Children’s Hospital, Patrick Warburton(Rules of Engagement, Ted), Gillian Jacobs(Community, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone), Peter Stormare(Hansel & Gretel:Witch Hunters, Constantine) and a few others. Ken is an average guy who works at an average office job. But he starts to get pains in his stomach whenever he feels stressed out. Things get worse every time he tries to just hide his stress, by burying it inside. It all comes to a head when that “stress” is turned in to an actual little beast that exits his body via his butt and takes revenge on the things that stress him out. But it soon starts to threaten the one thing he loves, his wife.

Bad Milo! joins the ranks of such films as V/H/S, V/H/S/2, John dies at the End, Kiss of the Damned, and The ABCs of Death as being yet another film from Magnet Releasing that is released on Video on Demand before it hits theaters. This is a genius strategy as it gets to a much wider audience than it would in a theater.

All of the actors associated wtih this film have been in many projects and are easily recognizable, most of them have of course been in more comedy movies than Horror, but nevertheless they do a fine job in this film. The soundtrack fits the movie rather well and the design of Milo is done fairly well, making it a demon that’s really freaking creepy one second and completely docile and kind of cute the next.

Bad Milo! does a fantastic job of balancing the Comedy with the Horror ( a much better job than Hell Babydid), though the comedy did outweigh the horror as you very well expect. Magnet Releasing is quickly making a major name for itself with their marketing strategies and their ability to pump out many quality films in quick succession.

If you’re looking for an interesting Comedy/Horror film to watch in the leisure of your own home then you should definitely check out Bad Milo!. This film is available to rent from various On Demand services including: Amazon Instant Video, Vudu, CinemaNow, and many others; it will also be in limited theaters on October 4th if you would prefer to see it on the big screen.
